Larry Gagosian opened his first gallery in Los Angeles in 1980, specialising in modern and contemporary art. Five years later, he expanded his activities to New York. More than three decades later, Gagosian has evolved into a global network with sixteen exhibition spaces in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Paris, Rome, Athens, Geneva, and Hong Kong.
Gagosian’s vibrant exhibitions programme features and contextualises the work of leading international artists and hosts museum-quality historical exhibitions.
The gallery publishes scholarly exhibition catalogues, artist monographs, and catalogues raisonnés. The Gagosian Shop, dedicated to showcasing publications and editions by gallery artists, opened in 2009. Since 2012, an innovative magazine on the gallery’s artists has been published four times per year, which was rebranded as the Gagosian Quarterly in 2017. The Quarterly launched an international talk series that same year and an online editorial website just premiered in 2018

And we’re careful on cost and big on service; it’s a common sense approach that’s surprisingly hard to find.
